A WHITE Javelin? Somebody wasnt thinking straight thats going to get dirty in no time! all those fly splats and everything but it does look very nice in white and in the 2012 Olympics Livery

I have come to a decision about the Roof it will be a Mid/Dark Grey as white is just silly as everyone says it will become dirty really quickly

Sir Clothem Cap: werer you talking about the Purple Steam Loco? if so i havent done anything to it yet as ive been busy at school and ive had other projects taking my mind off of it , i will get around to it soon

Hi Tom, yes I was That will teach me to look to see if there are more pages before I post.

On the coach roof debate I have painted mine primer grey as its cheap and looks right. On many preserved lines bitumin black seems to be the order of the day!

haha no worries, I have been busy getting SKYE in a working order as she had been without a motor for about 6 weeks! now she is nearly done i can turn my attention back to the wagons and the Steam Loco, and my Lollypop Farm Loco which arrived yesterday and i already have a name for Can't work out if its a boy or a girls but i shall look it up

Yeah I shall go for grey as everything else will be and if that doesnt look right then it will be attacked with black instead!

Hi All,

Just a quick update  :D, Work on the Lollypop Farm Loco is underway with the buffer beams, floor, solebars, rear and mid sections and the sides together. this is a lovely little model and I cant wait to have it running  :D, Its name will be 'AMITY' after one of the ships on the BBC's Trawlermen series. I suppose I should get around to ordering the plates soon.

Today i got around to motorising one of the Coopercraft Slate Wagons  :D , i did this as simply and as cheaply as possible, using an IP 4WD Chain, Battery Box, Switch and a Motor, it runs well ( i have tested it on the floor) and speeds off so it should be easily capable of hauling my gravity slate train  :D, Once the circuit is together i chall make a box to fit over the electrics which will cover them up. A coat or 2 of black will be placed on the underside over where the wieghts box used to be.

Oh, by the way does anyone know whats going on at coopercraft? ive been waiting 8 weeks for my other 2 slate wagons to arrive, and he did recieve my payment  :(,

Once you have hidden the motor you could put a donkey harnessed just above rail height to look as if it is giving the motive power.

Hi All,

Lots has been going on as usual at the HWLR, we are currently getting ready for another trip to the Longmead Branch next Saturday , Here SKYE will get her first run under her own power, and i shall be taking my gravity slate train (6 slate wagons and a flat) along to give it its first proper run under its own power with (hopefully) the other slate wagons when they are finished,

AMITY (Lollypop Farm Loco) shall not be going as she hasnt even got her chassis yet (but a miracle may happen) please dont hold too much hope!

Another item to join the line is a Penrhyn Quarrymans Coach that I grabbed in the Glendale Junc Autumn Sale,

Thats all for now, ill hopefully have some pics of the Gravity Slate Train before saturday

Hi All

The HWLR once again had an excellent day out to Terry Collins' Longmead Branch and i was lucky to be joined by Tobias from this forum A great day was had and we got even more running done due to the fabulous weather

All the work done before the trip to the Longmead Branch didnt go unnoticed needless to say, The day didnt go without another accident with a frog/toad in the tunnel but luckily this one survived and wasnt squished onto the front of Tobias' Edrig

Sadly SKYE or the GST didnt run as well as id hoped but with the introduction of another powered slate wagon i think it wil be just fine, I sadly didnt get a video of the GST but i hope the pictures will do it justice

So enough talking heres just a few of the best pictures :

Sir Clothem Cap: That is the 2nd Signal Box at North Tonbridge, if your talking about the white box that is the chime thing so that you can here what message was sent from the other signal box at Longmead  :D

Nice! Looks an excellent railway, love all the working gizmos around it.

MHLR: Yeah it is a great little line, all fully signalled, uses a token system and lights up at night, which looks amazing! adds some reall atmosphere to the line, also when the pullman rake is going around the line with their table lamps on as well that also looks great

I did realise after that I hadnt taken many photos of the GST and those that i did take were really blurry, so heres a few pictures to show what it consists of so far:

Hi All,

Just a quick update, the workshops have been the ususal hive of activity, and as usual many projects are going on

Lots of progress has been happening on the VoR Guards Van and the Penryhn Quarrymans Coach

The Penrhyn Quarrymans Coach is very nearly finshed just needs another coat on the inside at either end and the end seats fitted and the top of the brake handle painted oh and of course the brake gear needs sorting!

Heres a few pics so far in its unfinshed state: Comments welcome (This will probably be the first piece of rollingstock to be numbered and lettered too, the transfer paper and acrylic spray should be here in the next few days)






Decisions on what figures will be going into the coach are also being finalised and an order will be placed soon

Nothing else has really been happening, the Branbright 4 Plank Open Wagon is ready and waiting for its metal work, but i need some more of the quarrys blue paint =] the IP 4 Wheel Van is also going to be painted as it now matches the coaches livery of green and black
