i really love all this signalling equipment, cant wait to see it in place. I want to build a working lever frame for my points. Do you a form a technical drawing? If so do you mind sharing? No worries if not.

But again inspiring and great :)

Maple,
Sorry to disappoint but it all happens in my head. I always design from the finished product back to the start, so to have the necessary bits and bobs there when needed, rather than having to tack pieces on. That's getting harder to do as I get older, and I confess to starting the dwarf signal with no clear idea in mind. I didn't even have a pic. of the full size one to know how they are operated. Also certain compromises have to be made for a model, we generally need more throw, ratchet teeth have to be deeper etc.
Grant.
PS happy to help with any further explanation or pics.

Hi Maple,
In answer to your request for a drawing of the lever frame construction, I have put together the following. It is not to scale and has no dimensions, but lays out (I hope!) the basic parts required. It is modular, so could be made for more levers with extra bushes and longer rods. You may have to refer to the previous pics. I posted during construction to work out some details. Hope this is of some help.

PS I had to convert to 2 pics. hope you can read it at this size.

The finished lever frame, far from a scale model but a robust working one. Now if it will stop raining I can get outside and start putting this all together.

now that looks great. Thank you. It will be really use full. I have a couple of out of reach points. Not all i have to do work out rodding.

I doubt mine will look as good as yours , but i shall try :)

Between rain showers I'm currently setting up the signalling equipment. I got a bit carried away after assembling the foundation and locking room floor for a bay windowed signal box attached to the end of the station building. After mounting the frame, I carried on with rodding, bell cranks, cable and guides to get the dwarf signal mounted  and working for No.3 road. Several days of fettling and it now works. This afternoon I finally got two end walls for the box done, but it all has to come inside until I get a roof on it and make it weatherproof.

No sorry Tom, as mentioned I have to unscrew it all and take it back to the workshop out of the rain, except for the ground fittings. It's winter here, wet, windy, and cold.

A quick pic. of the box under construction. There will be a window either side and across the front, opening rear wall to operate. Box floor is temporary.

I took pics. of the cranks and rodding etc. but you can hardly see them in the ballast, they're all so far apart.

Looks great Grant.
I see from the station building that the Directors used the same image consultants as the SLR Directors; BR(WR) influence :D

I got the Signal Box largely finished and mounted in place. Still to paint and fit out the inside. Think it looks reasonable as an addition to the original building.

Levers are in, and working two signals. Still finishing signal wire carriers for the long run down to one signal, rodding plus wire to the dwarf.
