I wish they'd bring the price of the balcony carriages down (DLR Dan's carriages) and make them LASER cut...
They are just short enough to look ok on my very short railway
Anything longer just looks silly!
I'd love a Gladstone carriage but it would just look out of place!

Actually if you look at some of the more substantial "real life" rolling stock- the W&L vans being a pretty good example- most 16mm stuff is too short- that's why, to my eyes at least, the longer wagons look better, especially with RH and Accucraft locos which are pretty big beasties really.andysleigh wrote:i dont like long wagons with 4 wheels, doesnt look right.

Most model bogie stock is far too short to really be bogie stock and just looks daft- it's done to make them go round tight corners, not for realism. Probably the shortest things to look OK with bogies are the ex war department wagons.
