Yes the linining is brushed on and this is what takes the time but is well worth the effort though. I have studied the real coach and not only is there gold lining but red as well!! So Im adding this at the moment. Im only doing this around the main panelling on the lower sides. Around the vents above the doors and windows is proving too difficult. Will keep you posted on things.

First post! I have been viewing for some time as a guest and really like your bug boxes, especially in the victorian vintage livery. I have attached a pic of my ip engineering bug boxes that I have finished in the same livery. I have also added crests and monograms from blackham transfers. I know they are quite expensive but really improve the finninshed model. Didn't have the patience to add the small line of red to the gold though!

They look great and youve made an excellent job of them I would be interested in the difference in size as IPs are larger in scale I believe. Have you done a bogie coach to match. I must enquire about the FR logos from Peter. Ive got Blackham transfers ready for my coach 15 and yes they are a bit expensive!!!

Anotr couple of pics. This time of number 15, also an ip kit but with new bogies because I felt that the ip ones looked a bit funny because of their size. One pic shows the comparrison between numbe 15 and a bug box. As regards to size these carriages are quite large, I have to be careful on some lines because the balconys can sometimes hit each other. ( I have scratchbuilt number 19, the bowsider and the bogies are further back, in the prototypical position). I sometimes get alot of bufferlocking on tight curves because of the small buffers so may have to replace these. I think I am right in saying that you have built yours to scale so this probably won't be a problem. I have seen a scale version of number 15 and it is quite a bit smaller than mine!
