Sorry to bungle the thread a little but this might be of interest. For a long time I've had an pair of ex Ratty 3ft carriages. One sits on an LGB 4w chassis - the other was on a Yatton cleminson chassis which was always a poor performer so the carriage had little use (this is the one with acetylene lights for anyone with a long memory).
I've used bits from Rik's fine MOY wagon parts to make a cleminson chassis for my ratty carriage. I think I must have used larger wheels (I bought a job lot of LGB wheels on ebay and turned the flanges down a smidge to work slightly better on my track) than Rik as I've had to shim the trucks down away from the floor by 1 mm to give room for the wheels. I've also glued some styrene strip onto the top of the forks on the middle truck to prevent them disengaging from the prongs on the end trucks in some extreme curve negotiations but other than that it seems to work as intended - thanks Rik!
Shown here before I've sorted out the footsteps - it will now negotiate R1 curves.
I'll be producing a shorter version of the chassis for my teak carriage project. To do so I've made editable 3D files in Inventor based on Rik's design - would the editable files (i.e. not .stls) be of interest (with Rik's permission?)
