Personally, I feel it will be used a lot by those in the garden railway community and it will be used for lots of projects, like bridges and tunnel entrance/exit, even walls if the imagination is used by them who use it. I do have an idea for it and it will be perfect for what I am thinking of. So a trial maybe coming up soon.

I've probably got too many projects swirling around inside my head, some have even made it to the workbench, but only one has been finished.
Recently I saw some 'novelty radios' on eBay and managed to buy a job lot of four for a knock-down price. Each represents a motor car and was a working radio at one time, possibly in the '70's? They have very useful parts which I utilise in my ICE powered models, as shown previously. This time all I did was a straight conversion to rail wheels with 12v motor, rechargeable battery pack and RC Trains receiver (as usual).
A repaint and addition of driver figure and we have gone from.....

Very nice Peter, it's always a pleasant surprise what a bit of paint can do for a model. It appears to have a very forward-thinking front wheel drive system!

That's a great job Peter, of course I'm thinking there's a bloke who's got 4 nice artillery wheels in his scrap box and whats he going to do with them.

Peter, that's a very good conversion and the paint looks just right for it. You are lucky enough to get these job lots, whenever I try I'am always outbid or to blooming late...
One thing though Peter, I think it would look even better if the original wheels were put back if they can, it doesn't need to be fitted to an axle I don't think, just a small shaft fixed to maybe a set screw and bolted on individually.

It kind of has the look of a Galloping Goose, at least the front half of one. I think if the road wheels went back on it'd look more like a hirail car instead. They typically only left the road wheels on those if they were meant to switch between road and rail. Either way, another fine specimen.

It's not often you see video of my railway as it is something I haven't yet succeeded in doing. So it was a pleasant surprise when my friend, Ian Arkley (Google the name for more interesting musical information) emailed to say he had included some video footage, which he took a few weeks ago, in his latest YouTube release. Ian has a YouTube channel .... 'Elvinley Railways', in which he shows the creation, maintenance and running of his ride-on railways.

There are two sections devoted to B.U.R.P.S. one at 18.35 and the other at 56.52.

Also, there is a very interesting section (at 35.02) looking back to the 1980's when he had his own garden railway in the garden of his parents when he was about 17 years old. Very good work for his age and period in time.

In addition to your line, I found the clips of his own model railways (Witley LR (SM32), Lynnbach (009), HVR / Hollow Hills (0), Elvinley(N), Hannover Falls (Z)) fascinating. Really love the quality of modelling and sound systems in his 0 gauge locos.
