Yeah, the Penryhn Hunslets are really good. I hope that one of the main compainies will sometime soon start making a Lynton and Barnstable 2-6-2. The only company that crurently produce these is DJB engineering, and the ones they make cost a fortune. Roundhouse could produce one for about 1/4 of the price, and I bet it would look almost as good as the DJB model.
Anyone else agree with me?

I feel that once the appropriate black border has been painted where the rivets are they will blend in much better. personally I would have to make an ashpan for underneath the firebox.
Roundhouse have produced a slip-eccentric L&B loco in the past, www.roundhouse-eng.com/museum.htm scroll down to 1990.

I know about the old L&B tank loco that roundhouse use to make (ptlrcecil's got one), but they only produced the first three locos in their rather ungainly ( in my opion any) origanle form before they were rebuilt. I'd like it with they brought back the egine, but make 3 versions- origanles unrebuilt, rebuilt, and a model of my favorte L&B loco, Lew.

Hey, I've got an idea. You know roundhouse already produce Russell, and here we're suggesting that they should make a K1, which is also based on the welsh highland, and Accucraft aready make models of the big garrets and the Baldwin, so why don't Accucraft and Roundhouse team up, and make models of all the steam locos owned by the welsh highland, past and present.
I'm sure it'll get a lot of interest.

A fiend mentioned that he thought it would be unlikely that Roundhouse would produce a double fairlie as the boiler would be a tad complicated for their easy to use method. I also believe I read on the Mamod forum that a member had spoken to RH and told him that they weren't.
I'd rather have a Taliesin and a train of Barn Carrs.... *drools*
Trwyn-y-Garnedd specials

Like my mate said, that would be hell to write the instruction manual for, you'd have to fill two boilers, equal steam usage, double gas tanks, ect...steamyjim wrote:Maybe use 2 seperate boilers? Cover the gap with a fake removable firebox
It's not going to happen, I'm sure they'll sel the power bogie seperatley, if you wanna try yourself!
