Dunno - I don't get to watch much telly

maintenance on my garden railways proving difficult. The 3rd rails so much more threatening in icy weather

what do you mean? im still just like a big kid and im in Uni! running outside to have snowball fights and when it snows properly here (only had the slightest amount, seen more white stuff come off someones head who has dandruff!) ill be getting the sledge out.

I have 12 inch of snow now. Its over the top of my model pylons!

And it's still coming down! - The whole garden is just one white carpet, no sign of any railway features at all
Somehow I really don't think we'll be going to Aylesham tomorrow

Crikey thats a lot of white stuff. Proper old style snow as well.

Nothing like that down here.

Just cleared a path to the bird feeders down at the bottom of the garden - don't forget our feathered friends at this time of year! (There's no finer sight than a pair of Tits hanging round your nut sacks) - and did a sneaky assesment as to whether I'd get something running........................

Wow Greg, is there actually a railway (or garden come to think of it) under that lot! PMSL at the story.

Snowing nice here now, ploughing like mad to keep it open but it's the ice that is packed underneath that I'm having the problem with. Plus I used the Edrig as first plough loco, crew is miffed at that choice with its open cab. About to break out the Carrie as I've only got half way with the Edrig before gas was low.

WOW! thats some pretty serious amounts of snow there!

Wish I could have that amount here! fancy shoveling some in my direction haha.

Miffed, we have a measily amount of snow and even so I have had no time to go out and play with it.

For Christ sake, i'm in wales, it always rains, so why isn't it snowing like that????

Hi,

Three photos from yesterday when the wind was blowing the (very cold and dry so equally very light ) snow around, and drifting it against the hamlet.

The first is of my trestle which has (temporarily) lost is lower half.





This one is of my water tower (made from a 10 litre paint tub as an indication of its size) and the frosty topping is 8" high



A final view of the hamlet of Sycamore Creek with the school (which is the snow lump at the extreme right), and bridge gang huts being also fully covered in the stuff.
