Industrial grade cling film- the stuff they wrap packaged fresh meat etc in etc. Not got many applications in the garden rail environment!

Too late...in a past garden railways from the USA, it was used to protect a tender and electrics whilst a false coal load was formed...and guess what...i'm going to try it in the next few days..pics will follow...........of course you could wrap your sarnies in it!

I used it to cover an open wagon I was making a "canvas" cover for - stopped the wagon from getting damaged as I draped the glue-soaked old handkerchief over it and left it to dry off!

Yes thats the idea...drape it and then cover in tissue soaked in a 50/50 wood glue/water mix...when hard, trim and cover in roofing mastic and add the coal
