Quick update - photos to follow presently. The pond at Tanyperth has been dug, and the liner went in yesterday - still needing a name. Construction of the causeway across the pond now underway. Then about 5 yards to go before the circuit is complete.

Well, I've advertised to the local 16mm group a steam-up date on 12th October...

Looking very good Richard, once the full circuit is in the hard part is deciding weather to use the spare hour to do abit more or have a steam up.

Anyone remember Shane's "wall of death" return loop in the early days on the CVLR? (See here.) I think it has been reincarnated in our garden, with a new twist.

Seriously, I do intend to widen the embankment a bit, and the track has been pretty carefully laid. I still think a PSR may be called for. Water is not yet up to the intended level, to allow for work on the embankment.

And a final look through the pass from the opposite direction - I think the sign can come down now.

Yes, it's definitely going to be widened a bit, but it's good all the same to have this bit of track in. Just a short gap now:

I like that drop to the water, it looks good. I'm afraid my water and harbour are rather imaginery, you can't beat the real thing.

I've been out buying more materials for the last short stretch - just about 14 or 15 feet (but two lift-out bridges within that section).

Well, I think we're making a bit more progress.

Still a couple of removable bridges to go (temporary wooden ones, at this stage).

A bend over a pond emmmmmm! just slow the regulator down and drive with caution. Bridge over troubled water. On youtube theres a loco that finishes in the drink!
