I had to use 3 LED's as the side look out panel are sealed in the construction.

I like the weathering, very nicely done and looks great in the scenery

It could be an oxymoron but that is tidy weathering. I haven't got enough expendable stock yet to summon up the courage and have a go.

It is a funny thing weathering, because when I start, I think I've ruined this. Then I keep going and it becomes OK just. But when it is up against one that is not weathered I prefer it. I have a very simple format and stick to it so they all look similar. Thin some black matt and run it in the panel detail. Then add my rust colour to the black detail again thinned. Sometimes I add real rust filings if I feel flush. Then if it has a roof I paint it grey green and rub it all off the way rain would fall. If it has a chimney/burner inside a squirt of matt black spray for soot. Then I sort the wheels and lower frames with rust effects. Silver touched on the hand rails locks and coupling with a nearly dry brush. The odd plank is painted grey knowing the colour does not quite match to suggest a replaced plank. Then spray some brake dust of mud around the lower frame. Job done. This took about 1 hour max. What is nice is that beyond the first bit you have to keep going. It is loose not fine work so easy not intense. I picked a wagon I hated first mind. It turned out ok so all the stock is weathered now.
