Ragleth Spectacles....

Hello all.

I've just taken my brass spectacles out and reversed them around because I agree with Monsieur Gorton.

However I notice there is are some spots of super glue on the black external finish, which will not easily come off (i.e. with my fingernails!), and I'm not sure what to use to get it off.

Any ideas or help would be gratefully appreciated. I'm keen not to ruin my new engine.

Also I have some ACME spectacle glasses on the way. Do these need glueing in?

I think you can still get Superglue remover or debonder. Failing that I have a feeling acetone will shift it. Or try a flat blade and a bit of pressure

Just re-read your post....
Check on a hidden bit of paint first, acetone will lift some paints.

The spec glasses should just be a push fit, but you may find that they need either a bit of filing down, or a touch of superglue just to hold them

When I make spectacles they are slightly oversize and just run a file round the edges and keep offering them up. Mine are all a tight push fit, no need to glue.
