Sadly? An over priced monster of the model shop world, reponsable for killing the 'family owned friendly local model shop' it in my mind is one of the best things to happen in a long while. Hopefully now we will see the rise in model shops again! I know ofm3 model shops that where pushed online due to modezone and scrapped their street presence. Since the news modelzone is gone they are now looking for property to move into!

Sadly? ....
I do appreciate what you are saying. I was referring to the 400 people who now may well find themselves out of a job and out of pocket :|

I know i do feel sorry for those who lost their job but the company lost its way years ago. Their is another chink of light for modelzone, as their is a company who may buy them out and give the company a different spin. We are off topic any who.

Ha! I'm happy to see that locomotive. My Dad had a plastic model of that engine on a shelf for years when I was a little boy. It had a motor inside the box it sat on which made all the wheels and things turn. I knew he built it from a kit before I was born. It must have been one of the original airfix ones! Nice to see it again!
