Railbus guard compartment

Would a large narrow gauge railbus have a guards compartment with a ducket?

Found a set of driven bogies in my workshop and thinking of building a large railbus.
A steam propelled life-style.

If it was a single unit, it might be small - if it's a twin car set, almost certainly (but not with duckets)
