Looking good - I assume you're going to be using an MP3 player? I'll have to sort out my ancient fair organ LPs and get them digitised............

Yep, I'm using a mini mp3 player Brian - I have a selection of tunes already, but more would be most welcome :D

A little more progress, the trailer is now ready for the paintshop

That is coming along very quickly Greg. Well Done.

What hinges are you using with the plastikard?

Thanks Chris :D

I've cheated with the hinges I'm afraid - since it's a static model, the trailer side panels are "fixed" and the hinges are just represented by bits of cocktail stick

Pity. I'm looking for some small hinges for the inner door on my AnDel Guards Van, but a local model shop which specialised in Dolls House bits and pieces closed when the owners retired.

Here is the Organ that visited Fawley Hill this weekend.

And another variation to your project, an organ inside a fairground ride.

Great photo's Chris - that little ride looks excellent (and almost the right scale too) :D

Hopefully the "Riddings Rambler" will get finished this week, we were gigging down in Somerset on saturday and I've been too tired to do anything today apart from waft on a couple of coats of paint

Brilliant Greg.

A nice colour and it is in scale with the accompanying TE1A.

Fred and his colleague seem suitably impressed.

Fantastic! A sound idea adding the TE next to it and I'm reckoning the colour scheme suits it mighty well :D

Great result. I was interested from the start of this thread and have not been disappointed. You have done a brilliant job on capturing the look.

Some more photos for your 'organ' collection Greg.

Image

This was at the Royal Deeside Railway last weekend as part of the 160th anniversary celebrations.

Image

Sadly the accompanying Fowler A7 road locomotive was not providing the electrical power, it coming from a small generator tucked away in the far corner.

Image

The Fowler has only had 2 owners since new and is now being cared for by the 3rd generation of the same family. I had a very informative discussion with the current owner, and he was very kindly allowing the public, including myself, to climb up into the cab to view this magnificent engine in steam close up.

Image

I have some video of this Mortier 87 key organ & Fowler road locomotive in action to edit for a video covering events on the Sunday of the 160th anniversary celebrations.

Thanks for the photo's Chris :thumbright:
Really nice engine - I must seriously think about titivating the Te (mind you, I still have the Bandai kit. I might keep it and actually build it), and the Mortier in its red trailer is most appropriate ;)

Some video action of the Fowler Road Locomotive and the Mortier organ is included in my YouTube video of the RDR 160th Anniversary - http://youtu.be/OaTRN5s-ZUA (start video at 07:10).
