Cheap Land Rover

Post by Narrow Minded » Fri May 31, 2013 6:49 pm

Just a quick diversion from the Faller Railbus (well, what to do while paint dries / glue sets etc?! ;) )

I've wanted a Landy to go on the railway for ages, but couldn't afford the diecast versions. Anyhow, I managed to pick up a cheap Spanish toy from eBay and it was soon stripped down and the toy soldiers and 'Big Gun' junked (yep, thought long and hard about the bits box  )

That's Brilliant, I've wanted to do a rail mounted version for the PW gang
for a long time now but didn't fancy butchering a 60+ quid Universal Hobbies model.

When I first started reading this Topic I thought it was going to be another unique form of powered traction for the WLLR.

You seem to be on a roll recently what with the Organ, Rail Car and now this Land Rover. Wish I could get my projects finished with such gusto. Well Done.

Chris Cairns.

Cracking job mate. Are you going to add side lights, indicators, mirrors and wipers to it?
Lead me not into temptation, for I can find my own way.

If he's going to do that, might as well make them working ones................

Cracking Model Gromit!
What a great job you have done on the Landy. Do you know if they are still avaliable, if so where?
On a more serious note as an owner of two series 2's and having worked on many more it far too clean and un-dented!
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
