As has been said, Mr Isle arrived here last week & after a short break relaxing (& having his head re-attached) will be inspecting the CVLR shortly. Actually when we get some decent weather & can run stuff without the wind blowing the stock about really. Plus he has plans to inspect another railway whilst he is in the area. He's in no rush though & intends to dig deep with his report.

:D
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

Can't wait for him to inspect the MPLR! The boys need a short sharp shock to get them into line!

But we found some superglue and the operation was successful.

I believe he is still incognito on the CVLR, but (having encountered him before) I did spot him taking quite an interest in proceedings today.

I think our Vic is a bit old-school on such things. Expect him to come down hard on Steve (dvtdweller), who was driving the train that had the spectacular derailment - only hours after passing his (real life) rules exam.

Glad he arrived ok, he has had a bit of an extended trip. After spending 3 weeks lost in the postal office of a Birmingham lawfirm..(last time I ask my wife to post something for me) . Managed to get him back & then our new daughter was born so he got caught up in that too. Must get round to writing his reports from his time here.

I have been looking very closely at the WPSR and am shocked by the state of the vegitation on the line and ordered an immediate clearance of the track. I am pleased that they complied and I have started inspecting the rolling stock.

Whilst interviewing the engineer I recieved a shocking reply displaying a total lack of railway knowledge. I asked "What are you doing about continious braking?" and he replied " oi Fixes them as fast as I can." Unbelievable.

I am Putting my feet up awaiting a bg steam up this coming weekend.

Hope to goodness Vic doesn't read the EHLR thread - he might realise that we've carried on extending the line without completing all the tasks he left us with after his inspection... Actually I'm not sure we've completed any of them :shock:

After the "planning meeting" when it was decided by a handful of members to go ahead with The Great Forum Railway Inspection (gosh! was it so long ago?!), I did wonder about the name 'Victor Isle', and how it would relate to the forum.

It's now become quite obvious, that it's;
Victor I Severely Lack Enthusiasm!

An anagram of the name even reflects the most common excuse for the ridiculous amount of time this is taking;
