Railcar exhaust

Post by pauly » Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:11 pm

Does anyone know where a exhaust would go on a railcar like mine?

My guess is out of the engine compartment and up the front of the cab
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

out the side at the bottom..., or as laalratty said, comes out from the bonnet side, then up the front.

Looking at the small size of your engine compartment, and comparing it to similar County Donegal railcars I would say the exhaust should come out of the roof at the back of the drivers cab (see County Donegal Railcar No.10 clagging here - http://www.geocities.com/rgallinagh/don ... lway1.html and Railcar No.16 on page 3 - http://www.geocities.com/rgallinagh/don ... lway2.html ).

Or as others have posted out the side of the engine compartment then up the outside of the windscreen (see all the railcars here, but photos do not really show the exhausts very clearly - http://www.cdrrl.com/CDRRailcars.htm ).
