Yay, that looks like a definite step forward - good move. Is there room to squeeze in a slightly longer loop, by moving the points out into the curves either end (excuse naff drawing)?tom_tom_go:77230 wrote:I managed to sneak in a passing loop using the new Peco tighter radius points without having to rebuild any of the line

Thanks for taking the effort Richard to show your idea. I agree that your plan would be better, however, I would have to completely rebuild each raised curve section of the line!
The passing loop looks small in my diagram. It is actually over a metre long which is sufficient for my small line as all my rolling stock is weighted to give a good chuff from the locos

If you download www.anyrail.com you can view or print the new Peco points and curves in 1:1 scale. I made a template for the new 3ft curves and bent the rail to fit. Works great and saves you money

Wow that looks really cool. I like the way it goes behind the bushes and I think the ballast is great.
Good job! :D

That is simple enough - you pocket the short train and let the longer train have the main. The fun starts when he gets two running at the same time and then he will learn what the American Railroader means by a "saw-by meet."hussra:77257 wrote:That sounds like a very good reason for not going with my suggestion. (Just wait until someone brings a longer train to visit...!)

Traffic Pattern? What pattern? Spuds out; grain in, but cattle, sheep and passengers are a lot less predictable.
