Swift 16 Tub Wagon

Post by MDLR » Tue Nov 06, 2012 5:01 pm

I spent a little time this afternoon completing one of Swift Sixteen's latest products - a tub wagon for the paltry sum of £12.50. I'm a little lost for words as to how to describe the process. It comes as a one piece body and underframe moulding and all you have to do is drill out holes for the axle tubes (Rob says 4.1mm, I say 4mm and tap the tubes through with a hammer - takes the 0.05 mm each side out quite happily) drill out for the coupling hooks, bend these up from the length of wire supplied and glue in place, then fit the axles to the wheels - another push-on job. The whole thing took less than half-an-hour, looks absolutely fine and will benefit (in due course) from dirtying.
