She looks a bit of a sorry state, but is mechanically sound and runs a treat :D  The tinware is currently all dimantled and the tanks are pickling over-night in a sealed ice cream tub with Nitromors along with a "Jane" spec' plate;)
A half cab-back courtesy Superbiker of this parish will compliment the "Jane" spectacle plate and an "as new" smokebox will go at the front end of this Jamod project. :D

So, we're back to the previous mission statement and all loco's on the roster are metal construction, and the steam engines are, well, steam!
That looks oddly familiar, albeit blue rather than green.....I sold my reluctant Mamod to a bloke in Barnsley....

Any "distinguishing marks" you'd like me to look for? ;)
(Of course, if you really want to know if it's the same loco, you could PM me the name of the buyer)

After a total strip down,

Frames in the spray shop... that's not the glow of Hades, just the glow from the convection heater

A wonderful 'on shed' photo :D Your buildings and scenic detailing are so full of character.
Oh and yes the 'blue engine' is now looking much better :)

Thanks for the comments folks :D
The in-line lubricator from RWM was waiting on the doormat when we got back from North of the border, so that's been fitted (had to move the gas tank since the lubricator is "handed" due to the drain) and we're ready for a steam test today ;)

Oh and Annie -
Your buildings and scenic detailing are so full of character.
I think I might have taken a step too far this time  I brought back some rocks from the Hadrians Wall vicinity to finish off the quarry - and I don't think SWMBO will be very impressed with the result in the garden since I've not gone for a "pretty" scenic effect  (It hides the hedgehog house though!)

I managed to remove all the solder (and gasket seal) from the reverser too ;)

Anyhow, steam trials completed - including the obligatory "runaway derailment" on Brinsley Curve   , No.9 MARION has now been delivered to her new home shed at the quarry.

Here's some of the "old quarry" (with a good view of the new back sheet courtesy "Superbiker"!)

And after finding some more stone on our recent trip to Scotland, some of the "new" quarry! (which is still very raw and in need of weathering)

Thats looking superb, especially like the limited clearence areas, very quarry like indeed. Mamod is looking sweet too.
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

Greg,

Marion's makeover has come out very well. Do you still intend fitting the 45mm steel wheels when you get the spacers sorted out, or just wait until those Mamod/MSS wheels work loose?

Chris Cairns.

 I've no intention of "spoiling the ship for a ha'p'eth of tar", but it's a case of making do until I can afford that splash of modified pitch ;)
I have the quandry of two loco's, but only one decent wheelset at the mo' (and even those would benefit cosmetically from the addition of inserts). As soon as funds permit I intend replacing MARION's wheels with the spoked versions from RWM.

Glad you like the "Limited Clearance" Shane, you've given me the idea to add som signage before Victor Isle visits (if he ever does) - should add a little dash of colour :D

James, it should be there this sunday since our gig in Bournemouth has been cancelled 8)
