Zach on Track...

Got to love some of the things posted on Facebook. In particular I thought this photo posted on our admins wall was worthy of sharing as a very creditable effort....

"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

My cousin's boyfriend did that! I found an abandoned 2ft gauge railway and lied down on it for this purpose!

Talking of being on track....

I'm going to Cambridge!!!

Yay, well done! (I confess I went to the other place.) I gather CURC is still going, it's a real shame OURS folded in the end. The annual Varsity railway quiz was always great fun.

Thank you!
what is OURS and CURC?

Fresher's guid definition of Oxford:

Inferior in every way and referred to as the other place...

I'm starting to get a little intimidated by what I've got myself into...

My favourite bit of the Varsity railway quiz was the "minimum number of changes" round - I seem to remember University to University featuring, also Nenagh to Bellarena, which was a tad unfair as the Oxford team had several Irish members that year and Cambridge had none.

Very sincere congratulations from one who applied there and failed to get past the interview stage! (Although after watching the recent documentary young, bright and on the right, I think perhaps things worked out for the best...)

Congrats! I still haven't heard anything back from mine on whether I've been transferred course yet, and neither can I get hold of anyone  Maybe they've heard about my track record

Congratulations well done!! What are you reading? ( as one who went to uni in Cambridge as opposed to Cambridge University I thought I had better ask that instead of what course are you on? Never did know why you followed a course with one uni and 'read' at another!! :wav:
