Large Scale Emily

Post by George » Thu Dec 01, 2011 10:17 am

A little different from other locos, but Bachmann will be releasing Emily into their large scale Thomas & Friends range, for those who are unfamiliar with Emily she's a GNR Stirling Single based on NRMs No.1

While not being an original Awdry character Emily was introduced as part of the main 'steam team' to enable there to be a more female presence and she has since proved to be an extremely popular character.

I haven't seen any official dates for her release but i have seen March 2012 mentioned else where.

I was coming home with a friend of mine on one of FGW's HST's with the TV system, and due to boredum, we decieded to watch the 'New' Thomas and Friends. It is horrible! CGI not a real railway :(

Don't get me started! It's the American version that makes me cross. There not freight cars they are wagons! ;)

Cheers,

Tom

I have seen Emily's 6 wheel coaches for sale at a show not too long ago... looked a tad plasticy for my liking.
