A query about Binnie skips

Post by robc_wa » Fri Dec 23, 2011 10:18 am

Hi all,

I have just put together a couple of the excellent Binnie Engineering skip kits.

It seems that I have the option of glueing the skip to the frame and making it static, or leaving it loose and prone to falling off if not loaded. Has anybody tried to adapt these so that they tipple properly, and if so how?

Talking of tippling , best wishes to all for a happy and safe Christmas!

Rob

The simplest solution is to add a little weight to the bottom of the skip body, as if it wasn't emptied properly last time - glue a bit of whatever you're intending to load in them in the bottom......

All mine are kept loose, partly to help when patching up damaged paint and partly out of laziness and I've never had any trouble with them rattling or falling off when unloaded.
