In America they have the "NMRA" I think... National Model Railway association.
I don't know much about it, but I understand they do things like set the standards for scale and things like that for models in the U.S.A.
Like I say I don't know much about it, but it sounds pretty big.
I'd never heard about the 16mm association until I started looking for rolling stock to run with my roundhouse engine.
I am thinking of joining though, so I can get the newsletter. I'm not sure how much "16mm" is going on in Canada.

I just checked...yes the NMRA is HUGE. In England, you are in their "Atlantic Region". There seems to be, according to a graph on their website, around 19,000 members or something.
If it means anything to you, I like the 16mm association better. I'm really only interested in steam engines and garden scenery.

I'm quite surprised that it's membership is that low! Oh & description is based on the ones we share a village hall with during the winter steamup. They always seem to object to the narrow gauge side of things..METHSSNIFFER:62414 wrote:My father is a member of the GOG not as described as that in person though. The gog was formed many years ago and equates to about 2000 members.
