Autumn in the NWAG

The Morecambe members of the NWAG have been making good use of the exceptionally late summer weather this year. Last night we spent an hour at SLRmidge's running trains for some friends of his.

The cinema at Waterslack village was in full swing

I took my Baguley with its working headlight, and a few coaches. Here it passes Waterslack village

SLRmidge had fitted flickering lights into his Isle of Man carriages, which were great apart from the fact that jolts in the track switched them off and the had a habit of falling off the ceilings!

Whilst today I decided to have the first all ANLR double header for the first time in 2 years, with a combination I've never had

Gwydion leads Urien into Afallen, Urien could be pretty much shut off for the down run, with Gwydion happily pulling the 9 carriage (equivilent) train and Urien

Not a bad length train, 6 carriages, an open bogie wagon and four 4 wheel wagons

Finally, when putting the stock away I decided to give my little IP engineering Punch a run. It dosn't get out often since it might well be slower then bluebottle, although it has more grunt
