Brilliant, although me and Dolweddellanlightrail have plans of doing this on a much larger scale in a week or two. I've also wondered about doing it at the joys of life, although it would only work if the rail profiles were correct
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

I'm not entirley sure, it's on 'private land' but I think if there running trains and you turn up there more than happy to give you a ride, I think.
Thanks

You should have let me know you were going there - you were So Close to the W&LLR that you could have popped in for a cuppa and a quick run! ;)

:hello2:

According to their website

http://www.derbysmee.co.uk/Derby%20Soci ... ineers.htm

they don't open for the public -- it is invite only. I want to play there too.

:D

Thanks for the insight guys -- I've engineered an invite to visit with "Pretoria" this Sunday (21st). If I can motivate my teenage son, I'll take the DeWinton as well !

I just got a page saying that there was an error, and that a group of highly trained monkeys had been sent to solve the problem (no joke).

Still, no the weirdest message I got today, I got one on my mobile telling me to be at a college in Hertfordshire on the 1st April 2053.
Garden Railways-best hobby in the world.
