Does anyone know any details (1:1 historical or 1:19 manufacturer) about this van?

Look to be a model of a W&L van.

Except for the door sliding to the right, and the steps below the doorway, I'd concur! ;)

The nearest I can see on the Brandbright site is this one (W&L again)

Have I missed one?

Looking at it sitting in front of me, I reckon with a bit of work, the door slides could be removed and replaced on the left.
Now, is it worth the effort?!

Is the ironwork brass with real rivits pushed through?

Just had a quick scrape, and the ironwork is definitely brass. Dunno about the rivets though without taking the roof off and I don't want to risk that unless I'm gonna try altering the way the door slides ;)

I can't help you identify it, but I thought you would like to know that I spent 10 seconds or so looking at it trying to decide if it was real, or a model. Finally I realised it was sitting on brass rails with plastic sleepers, but that is an excellent photograph and a really good model, whatever it is.

Thanks for the compliment Keith -

That's a section of brand spanking new LGB track where I re-laid the through road at Loscoe, still weathering in

As an amusement, I'm making sure I get a photo in roughly the same location each week or so, just for future reference so I know how long it takes to "lose the shiny"!

Well Spooner, you were right! :D It's a W&L van (the reason I bought it!) but the original builder had for some reason assembled it with the doors the "wrong way round"!
Sir Haydn, you were right also, it's a Brandbright kit :D

After close examination it looks as though I'll be able to change the orientation of the doors - it's currently under the knife, watch this space ;)
