BUSY BODIES TAKING OVER
It doesnt matter where you look someone has one very popular but are they making too much of an impression. Im getting bored of the sight of em I HATE THEM they are too cartoon looking and make the realistic railway look foolish and cartoonistic BAN THEM!!

I dislike them as well, they just look so different to all my other figures, if I did use them Id have to replace every figure and I thing there a bit expensive for that :(
another problem I have are the specially order ones which are supposed to look like a particular person, I know a friend whos got one of himself and hes in his teens but the model looks like its in its 70s, unless your old they dont resemble you at all in my opinion.
basically just not my cup of tea.

I can see where you're coming from, but personally I like them and have received one charaterised of myself as a gift, and I have a Fred Dibnah, and they get lots of good comments from visitors.
But I think it's a bit harsh to set up a topic just to express your opinion of Rob Bennet's of Busy Bodies, if you don't like them just don't buy them and keep your opinion to yourself... it doesn't have to be all about realism, and I think they're better looking than most people's FIMO creations...

Not at all. My railway uses a mix of figures - at one end of the scale I have G-scale LGB, at the other the (now no longer availible) Chidham Light Railway figures that are, if anything, even more "cartoonish" than Busy Bodies! (See here for a picture: http://www.freewebs.com/mvr/apps/photos ... =109976676)pauly:49524 wrote:I dislike them as well, they just look so different to all my other figures, if I did use them Id have to replace every figure and I thing there a bit expensive for that :(
The solution is simply to keep them in separate groups. So if, for example, I decide to put the CLR figures at Rose Halt, the G-scale ones can go to Rutton or Box End, and never the two shall meet.
And I agree with Sir Clothem and mhlr, it's really a bit off to set up a thread just to slag off somebody's product. For a start, you really should say, "in my opinion they are too cartoon looking", partly for sake of fairness, but also because, as your post currently stands, Rob Bennet could probably sue you for libel (though I doubt he would).
Secondly, could you please show us some evidence that you are capable of producing better figures than Mr. Bennet?
And finally, might I politely suggest that you don't TYPE EVERYTHING IN CAPITAL LETTERS. BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING. AND THIS FORUM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A FRIENDLY, HAPPY PLACE.

Where did I say they were not. I said that they were better looking than most peoples FIMO creations... i.e. in MY OPINION, I don't think your Fred-head looks much like the man himself.METHSSNIFFER:49534 wrote:Now theres a contradiction His are fimo creations
And Pauly. Firstly, why are you typing in bold, are you trying to shout at me? Secondly, You know that I am not always entirely serious about Mamods, and lets not start that up again... I own 2 of them (well, 1 and a PPS Janet).
However, I have never set up my own forum thread just to set out to have a go at particular firm's products...
