I love this shot! has a really nice narrow gauge feel with the rough track at the station and the kink in the foreground! :D

Thanks for the comments guys :D Early days yet, so hopefully I can improve it and get the look I'm after.
It's not The Narrows, or the excellent model on the Whetton Gooey Light Railway, but the Westwood & Loscoe version ;)

Came down to this view through the back window this morning.......

Looks like cyclone Yasi's little sister hit the W&L during the night :?

Click your heels together 3 times and say "theres no place like home"

I hope the damage is only minor.

Ta. As far as I can see nothing on the railway itself has suffered - the quarry complex was on the table ready to put in its new location and most of that is trashed  (Luckily the best bit, that SLRMidge got me, the crusher / loading tower was in the shed for a paint job ;) )
I reckon because of where it's going, I'll be able to patch enough of it up :|

Anyone else "suffered with bad wind"???? Apparently it was supposed to be worse further north :?:

Nasty indeed, Greg. The ANLR has a bit of superficial damage, and annoyingly it looks like the weather over the weekend will be so awefull I won't be able to get out to tidy up. :(
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

Thats a bit personal. Although the great southern baked bean shortage may explain this

Where the large walls might look like a hindrance to my railway they are actually quite useful for fending off the wind!

You sure you didnt just have a few too many drinks last night Greg & go for a late walk around the garden?

Hope you can sort it out mate.
No damage to report here.
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

I can see a video from mr Bond with "bohemian rhapsody" as the music track especially the words "anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter to me"

Done some tidying up today, both in the garden and Lady Of Sherwood - much to my disgrace I let her go into Berry Hill Works with a dirty steam dome, which I noticed in the photo's didn't "sit" right because of the boilerband.

A session with the needle files has sorted that problem out and after a quick polish with "Autosol" here she is posing in Westwood with a clean (for now) dome :D

AAAARrrrgghhh, looks like a shelf queen, go run the guts out of it!

Just joking,
Nice one mate, I did notice the dome was looking more Derby style than Swindon! :D Looks loads better now.

Suffered a bad case of "Modellers Block" this week  Having finished the rush job with the new rake of coaches plus W&L transfers on the Tenmille van and Seibient Hill open wagon, I've managed little else than clean up and assemble a Brandbright driver figure (cheers again Matt) ready for painting.

As well as work and being tasked by SWMBO, part of the problem has been time taken laying out "The Narrows" and re-laying track between Codnor and Loscoe (which is now complete apart from ballasting).
The other hinderance has been the accumulation of "stuff" on my workspace (Pentrich Sidings)! - I've got into the habit of getting tools etc out to tackle a job and then leave 'em out at the back of the bench. This piles up and creeps forward until I'm left with next to no work area
I know, bad workshop practice and I'm a lazy git!! It's getting sorted TONIGHT!!

You should see my workbenches! I don't clean up until I HAVE to. Then it takes ages. Although I do find that when I do clear up I can't remember where i put things
