Post by MamodFan » Mon Jan 17, 2011 5:57 pm

The other week i thought id have a go at replicating one of Alan Briggs's back cabs... I drew it up on cad, But remeberd i needed it to be able to take the burner tray out without taking the buffers out... So i had a go...

Thanks Bryan! There's a few things to go on yet... Holes for hand rails, very slight fillet on the top of where the hand railwas go and painting it... And if i feel especially brave i might make some doors that close and open aswell! :)
Youve given me the idea that im going to start a brake handel tonight! :)
Thanks

Doors are a bit of a pain due to the burner blocking their swing and if they opened outward hitting the coach behind. A hole just there is right for a small engine too. If you look at hornbys pug for example you will see the same rectangular hole on those too.

The doors would be side ways fitted... Like this for example... http://alan-briggs.fotopic.net/p54339381.html ??? :)

A really cool idea pal but I think i'll stick with the original cab on my Mamod. It's funny, we're both called Callum & we both own Mamods well, you have an MSS but they're the same thing
