Thomas arrives on the S&NLR

Post by George » Sun Jun 06, 2010 11:22 pm

On Friday morning Thomas arrived on the S&NLR!
The orginal plan was to eventually take his face off and paint him up into a fairly realistic looking loco... although since i got it everyones turning against me - mum, dad and neighbours want thomas to stay! :x :|
but he does run very very well! - a very useful engine as some might say

HAHAHA!!! :sign5:

Shame they won't let you convert it, would make a nice loco! Maybe "Thomas was involved in a serious accident with Henry and the Flying Kipper, so the fat controller ordered plastic surgery to completely remove Thomas's face"... would that work with them?!

Or, how about -

Thomas is seeking asylum in this country after escaping from Sodor where he was being exploited by his new owners. He's adopted a disguise to avoid their evil clutches. :?:

Nice stuff. On the subject of coversion to another loco type. Would those large driving wheels not be a tad big for narrow gauge??
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

It is such an odd scale. Something that is bigger than an edrig is hard to find, especially when the prototype is Standard gauge! Looks bright and colourful though. You just need me in the cab, all I ever get to fire is "thomas", most depressing.

You'd be more suited to firing the 'Hogwarts Express'.

bachmann is calling it T scale lol  :|  must admit he doesnt look 'too' big when running round.
And even though i want to take his face off/paint him bachmann have done an exellent job with him when i first got him out the box mum thought it was the real model used in the TV show at first

the cab roof comes off although unfortuantly the cab floor is very high so if you want to add a driver the figure will need some surgery    :x  I am going to add details in the cab or as much as i can with the cab floor being high

he runs very well, thinking about getting percy but might wait and see how much and what James looks like first when he's released this year

I like the first pic, HiT Entertainment introducing Thomas with a squint to conform with political correctness ;)

We got two Thomas' into the shop when they first came out, one week later we were sold out!

Why not then add some realistic items, rivets on the tank or smoke box
or buckets and tools, bit of light weathering...just a touch

The T can fit in...unless you have a squeky clean line
