FLR in the Spring

I, along with a couple of other WSAG members, went to the Ferring Light Railway today. Since our last visit, a new station has appeared and the lineside was festooned with spring flowers.

I took my Merlin, which suffered from liquid gas carrying into the burner plus short run times. Definitely time to pull it apart for a full service!

This was the only shot I took of Malcolm's VoR, with nameplates temporarily in place.



Tony's kit built Katie towing a rake of modified LGB skips plus a small brakevan.

This was the first time I saw Malcolm's Pearse Countess hauling his Pickering coaches. Very nice it looked too.

How did the countess run? I'm interested because my grandad has a pearse loco and it used to run awfully, just wondered if his was a one off or if it was common with alot of pearse locos.
