Post by DLRdan » Sat Apr 24, 2010 10:43 pm

has anybody ever had dealings with accucraft over major parts like the valve block. I have already contacted the company and am waiting for a reply.

I contacted them for info regarding repairing a crank - they sent me a replacement free of charge :D

When I asked about a replacement smokebox for my Mortimer, they told me that because they were no longer in production I couldn't get one "off the shelf" - but, if I could wait and if I was prepared to pay (a not unreasonable amount, considering) then they would make me one :D

I know that Roundhouse are fantastic when it comes to spares, but I think Accucraft get too much of a slagging. I certainly have no complaints and have only ever found them helpful.
