Pete's various projects over the Easter break.

Post by mhlr » Sun Apr 18, 2010 11:27 pm

Well, I've found a bit of time here and there to do a bit of kit building and that. So here's what I've done.

Image
A tank wagon I built ontop of a redundant flat wagon I had lying around. It's an old Yorkshire Crisps can, with a few bits of junk stuck on it here and there, to make a completely free tanker (except for the paint).

Image
The boat halt shelter I bought at Stoners.
You can see how big my new gaurds van is compaired to the bogie coaches! :S It's massive!

And a little tiny bucket store for the fire yard.

The MoD gaurds van I built before I went to Dan's the Friday before Stoneleigh, but on the Saturday I bought a pot belly stove (also came with facility to light it up as if it were glowing, but no where to put battery pack) and fitted it inside. I also added full length side steps, and a seat opposite side from the stove.

Looks great! Nice and productive Easter! I do like that tank wagon and the boat shelter is interesting - is that R and ER inspired?

Nice wagons there & that shelter is quirky & good. Like the brakevan, what make is that?
Tank wagon is a good idea, must make some out of fosters cans.. Could have a very long train of them after my last weekend off....
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.
