Can some one please tell me what things are needed to convert one to battery .
only want a cheap way to do it , manual speed controlled

A speed controller from Timpdon electronics.
A 3 way switch (centre off)
A charging socket and charger
5-7 Nmh Batteries to make a battery pack
Thats how I'd do it anyway, while i was in there i'd add some lead weights too!

Cool thanks how much would that cost im guessing most expensive would be the speed controller and Nmh Batteries as i already have some centre of switches

Ooo Would the IP Engineering Speed controller work ?? as it is half the price of the Timpdon Electronics one ?

I've had bad expiriences with the IP speed controller, can never get them to work

ahhh okay lol might be a while until the engine rolls then =[
In debt of £40 to parents and need next months £40 for a bday present for Girlfirend so i have no idea wheter money is coming fomr :S

Can anyone supply me a diagram of how to wire it ?? I mean im taking systems for GCSE i have done nearly a year of it and its stiff Baffling my mind lol its simple but i cant get it on paper and i just want to make sure im doing it right ??

I Just hooked mine up to a simple 9V supply with a switch to engage a second 6V supply bringing it up to 15V. Ive found 9V is perfecly sufficient and the extra box is only used for outrunning steamers or a bit off a power boost when the 9V pack is running a bit flat.
