Nice idea though but when you can buy cheap wheels with non of the fuss, why bother?

well yes i agree, but for fun or when you cannot get the wheel you want, few 'repair' washers could be the job

I like the idea of adjusting gauges with the nut

Its inovation...one to put in the might be useful one day box

MY first ever loco- an elastic band driven- had peco wonderful wagon wheels with a washer glue on to extend the tread- it worked quite well and I think ill remake the loco one day as it showed my humble beginnings- for those who have seen Llechfan at Tywyn wharf- the 1in35 climb- it did that with 3 regauged gscale tippers(first rolling stock) fully loaded without any issues at all- just a shame i dropped it and damaged the pulley. which caused the gradual decline of its existance.- still got the cab somewhere...
