Oooh, I do like the Cheddar locos. Such a shame they stopped making them.

As what Will said, I'd love one. I love Hercules', especially with the nice deep whistle and lots of pulling power
My friend John has one that he added a front pony truck to and a few other bits:
Really handsome locos

I'd love one, I like it's ability to be in stea for half an hour so you dont have to worry about running out of gas, you can leave it steaming for a cup of tea and not rush workings!

I thought most locos (not the small stuff obviously) could do that on a good day... My Edrig certainly has, and Bertie and Willi! Possiby even my Fowler too. I'm sure Hercules could probably even run for about 45 to 60mins?

Lovely locos, Hercules do run for about 45 mins because they have a water tank in the tender so a steaming session with one isn't exactly hurried
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

With my new Linda I've discovered that with a gas tank refill every so often (i.e. when it runs out), so long as it runs out with plenty of steam and water it could run for as long as you like. just switch the gas off, fill it up and then relight it. (careful application of refilling the gas to ensure hardly any escapes at the end so it doesn't all go bang when you light it. (I did this at the PTLR, on the main line too even though it was a little naughty) I had raised steam and was ready to go within a couple of minutes.
Thanks,
Paul Wood

As everyone has said, really nice loco!
I'm not normally a fan of having a tender behind, but this one's a real head turner. Nice one!
