Im looking for LEDs, running on about 1.5 to 2 volts. I've tried to get hold of the ones of the Wilesco showmans but had no luck

Any ideas?????????

You could try Maplins, they have a big catalouge that has lots of electronics stuff, or lineside delights sell LED's and they can help you to pair them with the most appropriate resister. However, I think the lowest voltage LED they do is 3 volts
Hope this helps

Jim, I got some off ebay a long time ago for my model boats.

The seller does not have any items for sale on ebay at present and their recent feedback has no LEDs mentioned, but you could try sending them an e-mail - photoelektric@ntlworld.com

They did do Red, Orange & Amber LEDs which operated at 1.7V DC, the rest of their range operate at 3.3V DC. They supplied resistors to drop the voltage down from 12V to their working voltage, so I guess they would work with less voltage but not as bright.

Maplin have a huge stock of LEDs but their website has been very slow for me tonight.

I saw on another group a little set of them from IKEA! They come with a battery box. I might try them when coming to lighting up!
