Humbrol To Car spray colour matching!

Post by bungle80a » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:04 pm

Does anyone have a list of equivalent car sprays for the humbrol range of enamel paints.

I'm currently working on my Laser cut Luggage van from Brandbright, and want to spray it, but will need the nearest equivalent pot of humbrol for any touching up. Havent yet bought spray as I will obviously need the humbrol first as there is less of a choice of colours. I am looking for a red/maroon to match the FfR/WHR.

Any suggestions?

I would take a look at Prescision Paints or Railmatch. They do aerosols and tins of paint. Bare in mind they are enamel sprays so take about 2 hours to dry, unlike car paints that take about 30 mins.

I strongly recommend that you don't use Phoenix Precision aerosols. The spray comes out like water rather than a pressurised spray.

You could find the spray you wanted and touch it up with touch up pens.
