That's a random question! Blue Caradoc, a.) 'cos I prefer Caradoc anyway and b.) 'cos the blue is unusual. Not a massive fan of Accucraft's green, despite the fact that I'm a GWR man and my Edrig is (currently...) green!

I'd say Caradoc in blue because most things are better then a Mortimer, it just isn't a pretty engine. The blue does suit Caradoc as well i think, see below

Primrose (one of the PTLR's less often seen engines) descends off the trestle bridge on the SLR south
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

How could they have been made in 1993-1994? The Caradoc didn't come out untill 2002.

... and Mortimer is even younger than that. £500 for both is quite a bargain, someone who didn't know what they had I suppose.

He is, by about 10 years. Don't want to swap the blue Caradoc for a brand new Edrig do you?

I know :(

Wasn't factory black though, well it was a factory black engine but someone had got to it before me- if it had been ex works it'd have stayed that way...

Factory green Edrig now, only "modification" so far is a chip in the paint on the smokebox door...
