First Run

Post by ACLR » Sun Aug 23, 2009 8:04 pm

Yesterday Jilly and I were invited to go to a small club railway about 40 minutes drive from home at Woodrige which is on the south side of Brisbane. The members were wonderful and I learnt so much about setting up steaming and running the loco. it was a very enjoyable and educational day. We had a little trouble with a couple of things which with their guidance we sorted out and got her running. There is so much to learn as I found it wasnt as easy as running the smaller gauge loco i have. Jilly took about an hours video of it showing the instructor explaining and helping me which is great. I have had to edit out a lot to keep it under 10 min for youtube. I am uploading video now so when its ready i will post hopefully before heading of to work this morning. and for Clinton there is some great whistle blowing scenes as well :D

Not at all jealous

I suppose if you put 4' 8 1/2" gauge track in your garden, it would still be a garden railway!
