Not the best pic, but the train is going up a lengthy 1 in 50 gradient at this point, as it climbs from the lowest point to the highest point of the line, with only a few short easier bits in between.
This is an engine William knows rather well, 0-6-0 Goliath which visits every year from about a mile or so down the Ffestiniog Railway from Will's house
