Mss saddle tank

Post by Wander1er » Tue Jul 28, 2026 10:29 pm

So my son got me a saddle tank for my 50th last year and its been a bit of a pig, spitting farting and basically refuses to move ..
So by chance I found a bargain box on ebay with new bix burner and tank sealed plus various other bits and so ive started to strip it down.(photos taken but I understand the site limits so will compile and shrink later on as I progress.

Purchased the Ds regualator kit and new brass bolts etc for reassemble time .
The top of this kit will be blanked off and will serve as a top up .

I would like to raise the safety valve so its above the saddle tank but unable to find 1/4 26tpi malenfemale fitting to do so.
Any ideas please

Welcome to the forum. I have no idea about the answer to your query, but I'm sure somebody will be able to help.

I have moved your post to here because it is more appropriate and more likely to be seen than in "3D Printing" where you originally posted it.

Thank you Philip, ha I was browsing that 😄 prior to posting
I've seen a post on here im sure of it that a chap has machined his own and very interesting build .
My son has said he can do it in 10mins 😂he's an engineer but doesn't factor the time setting up the machine etc and he's about to move house so hoping someone has solved this one already.
