Instructions for 45mm Chaloner by Regner

Post by GrandadPuffPuff » Fri Mar 27, 2026 3:32 pm

I was hoping someone would be able to help please. I purchased a new live steam Chaloner 45mm Loco around 10 years ago from Bressingham and unfortunately, I've only now discovered it didn't include the instruction manual!

I have looked online for a video or pdf and been unsuccessful but if anyone has an instruction manual, Id really appreciate a copy/photographs if possible to get it up and running.

Many thanks!

Welcome the the forum.

I too have a Regner Chaloner but like you don't have the instructions. However, I did manage to track down this one for the Regner Lumberjack and am assured it is much the same as for the Chaloner.

Hope that helps

Try Contacting " Garden Railways Ltd Bishops Stortford " They are the UK agent. Did your loco come with a complimentary tool service kit. I ask this as the loco as supplied new used to come with a Regner type gas valve filler not a Ronson type. Also should have a small bottle of thick 460 grade steam oil.
Hope this is of help

I noticed that my Regner Vincent instructions cover Chaloner as well ,so I have copied and them posted to the Garden Railway Reference section.
