low relief buildings - now sold, thanks

Post by Petersfield » Wed Oct 16, 2024 3:11 pm

Six low/half (?) relief cottages and a shop. I was given these a little while ago but they won't fit on my shunting plank (Distraction no. 1) and being low relief, aren't suitable for outside. I am unsure of their origin but presume they are someone's resin kits, possibly ModelTown? Some interior detail has been added. The finish is not as precise as I would have made them but they are painted and ready to use. One of the cottages has the chimney removed (but is included) as per photo. The metal ruler is a 24 inch one.

Available singly or as a whole lot.

Price - well, I don't have anything specific in mind. I would like to clear them asap but the money is going to the forum, so please don't be too parsimonious. Make me/us an offer, preferably before the end of the month...

Any questions or if you'd like more photos, do please ask.

EDIT - following sale and purchaser's receipt/thankyou email, photos deleted to help bandwidth costs.

Just a thought. If someone wanted complete buildings three of them could be reversed and glued to the backs of the other three. That would work if the building were generally viewed only from one side.

Yes, I tried putting two back to back last night and they looked OK. If anyone wants to take that option without buying all seven, say, I don't mind having a look and trying to ID which two/four go together best, thinking re colour and joins. You would need to seal the joins thoroughly of course but it did look like it might be an option. Especially if anyone knows of a climbing alpine type plant we can use to simulate ivy for the 'rough' face! :D

Simon thanks for your PM. I have replied but it appears to be stuck in my outbox. Would it be possible to PM me an email address or phone number to talk direct please? I know someone who is attending Exeter which may prove useful. Thanks you and apologies for the problem in talkng direct to you. Dave

Simon posted a response a couple of hours ago but it appears stuck in the outbox again. To ensure you get the message I can put it here also. I have transferred the money to you and it is the 16mm modular layout. Thanks again.

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave. I've been getting your PMs OK (though as I use a PC not a smartphone, I don't get instant notification of the message). For some technical reason, PMs on here show as being in an outbox until the recipient actually opens them. Different to most email systems I know.

I've just sent you a reply via PM but (briefly) all looks good, I think we're on course.

Thanks for buying these and helping the forum funds along.
