Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
Hello Grant,
Fantastic! It's a lovely loco and it sounds like it was involved in a proper bit of railroading.
As always, your railway is a great source of inspiration.

Hi Grant .
The loco shed image could be a David Shepherd picture . Full of atmosphere .

Well Chris, I had to look David Shepherd up. A similar vein to some of Terence Cuneo's paintings I thought.
Thank you.

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
My favourite painting by Cuneo is the 'Running Sheds of the Great Caerphilly and Vole-tail Central Railway'. A large sized, signed print hangs in front of me now as constant inspiration for my slightly unusual interpretation of steam engines.

You could build a steam mouse in his honour Peter

That would be so silly, yet even now I am mentally working out how it might look..... stop it!!!!!

An electric rat, sometimes makes an appearance at the BGRA, and a black cat has been known to run round certain G scale layouts..

I ran some log bogies with the Shay out to Nayook to start the new timber season.

Wonderful atmospheric shots, Grant.
I find the motion of a Shay mesmerising. I'll bet this is no exception.

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
Hello Grant,
More fantastic shots. That's a really good looking train and a very unusual engine. I'm sure the 'not getting anywhere fast' is one of the attractions. It must make them all the more realistic when plodding around the railway. Realistic speed without the need for a 'slo-mo'!
I look forward to seeing the traffic develop at the logging season gets underway.
All the best,
SVLR Andrew

Re: The Leawarra Nayook Railway
You have an incredibly atmospheric railway Grant, and your locos and stock really add to the vibe. I see from your comment on gilfachphil's thread that you also indulge in model boating. Is there anywhere online to see your marine models?

Thanks Phil.
I'm actually a member of Surrey Park Model Boat Club who do have a website, but it has pics. of all the members boats. Hard to point mine out. I could post some in "off Topic" if that is acceptable.

As a former model boater, I would be most interested, and off topic would be the obvious choice to post photos.
