RWM De Winton
Hi all,
I know it's a bit of a stretch, but I was hoping to acquire a RWM De Winton locomotive for my garden railway. I'm just getting started and love what I've seen about these locos. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be made anymore as far as I can tell. If anyone has one they're considering selling or know where I could get one, please let me know.
Thanks!
Johannizzz
PS I know there are alternatives like the Mamod Brunel MK3 and the Regner Chaloner, but the RWM De Winton seems more prototypical as it is not geared.

Hi Johannizzz
Welcome to the forum!
Have you spoken to Evans Steam Services (who took over from Roy Wood)? They do still appear to have the De Winton listed on their website.

Can't help with the RWM de Winton, I'm afraid. But welcome to the forum.

Thanks a million for the information, Simon. I didn't know about Evans Steam Services. I've reached out and am awaiting a reply. The only problem now is that the Janet looks really nice as well...

A pleasure. Yeah, I was very tempted by a Janet when I was buying my first loco... and to be honest, I'd still love one.Johannizzz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 12:16 pm Thanks a million for the information, Simon.
