The scale of the weeds and the fine wrinkles on the tarp are all that gave it away as 1:1 scale. What an inspiring scene!

Well done You . I took the photo along with numerous other ones when I went to visit the Talyllyn Railway. The photo was taken from the road overbridge looking down onto the railway . I think the angle of the sun contributed to the illusion of it .

For me it was the visitor information panel which confirmed my choice. I thought it unlikely such an item would appear on a period model.

Having stared at this exact diorama many times, I was too busy trying to confirm It was 1:1 recognise where it was! (The taller building has a slight sag in the roof, but that proves nothing - it could have been modelled by Peter Butler  )

I've tweaked it a bit. Does that make a difference, do you think?

Are you suggesting that Peter Butler is a maker of saggy roofs? How rude!🤣

Either that or he's secretly perfected shrink ray technology...

I don't feel insulted in the least about being recognised as maker of the saggy roof! In fact Simon's photograph shows it off better than I have ever thought of it myself, so thank you Simon.
What accolades could be awarded to other Forum members, I wonder?

I'd nominate Rik for backstory and/or documentation. Half of the time when I'm searching for a way to do something on my railway the answer turns up on the Peckforton blog.

I'd also like to nominate Gregh for compression ratio. How he manages to make the extremely tight spaces on the Claymine Branch look so convincing is far beyond me!

I don't mean to single anybody out or make anyone feel left out... It seems every day I'm blown away by something I see on the forum. You people all have such interesting projects, and such skill to complete them!

My comment was, of course, very tongue in cheek😊 It's adding details like this that makes your modelling so life-like.
