Thanks to Lonsdaler, for picking the next theme, which is:
Garden Railway Architecture - Any buildings, so long as they are part of a garden railway.
We have seen some lovely buildings over the years, so no excuses!

No entries yet?
Miles-- Trains are fun. With the exception of track power. Argh!
Re: June 2024 Garden Railway Gallery - ENTER HERE
OK, here we go:
I always wanted a working water tower for my 5" gauge layout.
Most German ones of the right (small) size are of brick construction or have a spherical tank. Some even have an inverted sphere at the bottom.
This was way to complicated for me to build.
After much research I found the perfect prototype: a Badenian flat-bottomed steel tank.
It takes 70 litres of water.

Scrat, I must say it's nice to see buildings like that in the larger scales.
Really looking forward to seeing the entries for this one. Details are always fun to pour over.
Not a lot of detail on this one, but here's mine.

The first building I made for my railway was an abandoned pottery - the original "raison d'etre' for my line. Pic below, but not eligible for this quarter's competition.

Of course I have standards! ... it's just that they can be rather loose at times.

Wow Drew,
I didn't realise that the Nolwyn Valley railway had developed this far. It all looks very rustic.I need to re-read you thread.

Just a reminder to enter, for those who haven't already.
I've just realised that I didn't put a closing date for entries at the beginning of the thread.
My apologies for that, but the closing date for entries will be 13th June.

The camera angle is deceptive... This is pretty much the whole thing!
For some reason I had thought the deadline was the 1st of June, so this is great news as it might be enough time to finish the other structure I've been working on.

OK, my entry is nothing new really:
Luna about to top up from the Water Tower at Lower Bench station.
